One More Thought...

"I look forward to an America which will not be afraid of grace and beauty; an America which will reward achievement in the arts as we reward achievement in business or statecraft; an America which commands respect throughout the world not only for its strength, but for its civilization as well."  John F. Kennedy

As we face the struggles of the tomorrow it is prudent to allow thoughts from the past  inspire our future.

In a few weeks our busy season begins and the backstage will be buzzin. But in this quiet time I muse over the state of the art. Hope springs eternal that when our city feels the crunch it will use entertainment to lift the lowly spirit. History shows that theatres do well in recession...people need to laugh, to cry, to feel...what do you think? If you have any thoughts shoot them my way.

Soon I advance the Majestic Season...will keep you in the mix when that starts.

Let The Games Begin!

Hello 2009!

Here’s hoping everyone’s holiday season was grand and New Years resolutions abound!

Just returned from a trip to Rome and was interested to see firsthand the foundation for our current world of theatre in the ancient Greek and Roman format. It was evident that for all citizens the value of entertainment was recognized as a primary element for a rich life (even though deceit and violence was sometimes part of the scenario).

Currently our deceit and violence is multi leveled and global but in heeding the example of the ancients a rich life can be yours… get thee to the theatre!

With 14 shows scheduled this season I hope to see you in one of our properties or a venue close to your hearth and home…bottom line just go, you’ll find it good for the soul.
